To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, earnestly study and understand the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, persistently implement the spirit of the Eight-Point Regulation of the Central Committee and its implementation rules, promote the regular and long-term development of work style construction, and provide a strong political guarantee for the high-quality development of the Group, the Party Committee of Shandong Heavy Industry Group held the 2025 Annual Democratic Life Meeting. Wang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, presided over the meeting and delivered a concluding speech, and the 28th Supervision Group of the Provincial Party Committee attended the meeting to provide full guidance.
The Party Committee of the Group attached great importance to this Democratic Life Meeting, regarding it as an important measure to strengthen the construction of the team itself and improve the ability to perform duties. It made careful planning and arrangements in advance, and solidly did a good job in various preparatory work before the meeting. Before the meeting, focusing on the theme of the Democratic Life Meeting, the Party Committee of the Group organized concentrated study of the Theoretical Learning Center Group. Members of the team combined collective discussions with individual self-study to thoroughly study relevant theoretical knowledge and meeting spirits, laying a solid ideological foundation; extensively solicited opinions and suggestions from grass-roots units, Party members, cadres, employees and relevant parties, and comprehensively sorted out and summarized them; conducted in-depth heart-to-heart talks, and members of the team exchanged ideas and communicated problems and deficiencies frankly with each other and with responsible comrades in their respective fields; conducted in-depth analysis of the root causes combined with typical cases, comprehensively identified their own problems, and carefully wrote the control inspection materials of the Party Committee team and personal speech outlines, laying a solid foundation for the smooth holding of the meeting.
The meeting first informed three important situations: the rectification and improvement of the Party Committee team’s in-depth implementation of the study and education of the spirit of the Eight-Point Regulation of the Central Committee, the rectification and implementation of the 2024 Annual Democratic Life Meeting and the special Democratic Life Meeting on inspection rectification, and the solicitation of opinions and suggestions for this Democratic Life Meeting. Subsequently, on behalf of the Party Committee team of the Group, Wang Zhijian made a control inspection. Focusing on the theme of the meeting, he comprehensively identified the problems existing in the team in ideological construction, political construction, work style construction, performance of duties and other aspects, profoundly analyzed the root causes of the problems, and clarified the future rectification direction and specific measures.
After the control inspection, Wang Zhijian took the lead in making a personal control inspection and took the initiative to accept critical opinions. Other members of the Party Committee team made personal control inspections one by one. In the spirit of loyalty to the Party, responsibility for the cause and candor to comrades, everyone got straight to the point, faced up to the problems, conducted in-depth self-analysis, and carried out serious criticism and self-criticism. The criticism and self-criticism were direct and realistic, pointing out not only the problems and deficiencies, but also putting forward improvement suggestions, achieving the expected effect of “blushing and sweating, detoxifying and treating diseases, enhancing unity and promoting work”.
In his concluding speech, Wang Zhijian emphasized that all members of the team should take this Democratic Life Meeting as an opportunity to effectively unify their thinking and actions with the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee, focus on the goal of building a world-class enterprise, earnestly identify problems and rectify and implement them strictly and practically, and promote all work of the Group to a new level with practical actions.

Third, strictly govern the Party and optimize the ecology of working hard for the cause.
