On April 8th, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited and exchanged ideas with China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC). He held talks with An Tiecheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CATARC, and attended the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement between Weichai Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, and CATARC.
Wang Zhijian expressed his gratitude to CATARC for its long-term strong support for the development of Shandong Heavy Industry. He said that Shandong Heavy Industry is currently accelerating its strategic development towards green, global, digital, and ecological directions, promoting the entire industrial chain of commercial vehicles and power systems towards world-class standards and establishing a leading advantage. He hoped that both sides would further strengthen complementary advantages and deep integration on the basis of good cooperation, expand cutting-edge and leading technological innovation, testing, and services, and better empower the company’s high-quality development and the industry’s green and low-carbon transformation.
An Tiecheng welcomed Wang Zhijian and his delegation and introduced CATARC’s latest progress in industry standard setting, testing and certification, and technological innovation. He stated that CATARC will fully leverage its comprehensive technical service capabilities across the entire automotive industry value chain, integrate the advantages of its various business segments, and provide strong support for Shandong Heavy Industry. Both sides expressed their hope to further expand cooperation in the fields of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, jointly promoting the high-quality development of China’s commercial vehicle industry.
Ma Changhai, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Weichai Group, and Liu Zhengtao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, signed agreements with Zhou Hua, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC).
Before the meeting, the Shandong Heavy Industry delegation visited CATARC’s corporate culture exhibition hall and new energy vehicle technology innovation base.
